LIKES:
- Playing games like chess, go, checkers, and other games along the same vein, as he finds them amusing and sometimes even challenging, depending on the person he is playing with. Mostly recently, he has developed a liking for playing RISK. Sarrum enjoys playing these games so much, he doesn’t mind if he loses. Because it’s another type of game, Sarrum greatly enjoys screwing with people’s minds and emotions. There is one game that Sarrum treats with respect, and that's the riddle game.
- Eating cheese, especially when nibbling on little bits of it, pleases Sarrum to no end.
- Sarrum enjoys fighting, generally finding it great fun. On a related note, Sarrum enjoys gambling, but he either cheats or has nothing to lose.
- Experimenting with magic, soul wavelengths, and biological systems makes Sarrum happy. Being sadistic, when biological systems are involved, he becomes happy even when they serve no real purpose.
- New and fresh cuisine always interests Sarrum, as do advancements in technology, science, and architecture. Sarrum’s favourite foods are fruits.
- Sarrum’s favourite animals are bats, bats of any sort.
- The taste of blood and tears enthralls Sarrum, and it may be this fact that brought about his sadistic nature.
- Looking stylish is always high on Sarrum’s list of priorities. If he lost his style after all, he might just lose himself. Of course Sarrum doesn’t hog all the glory; he’s quick to notice and comment on the styles of others.
- Sarrum likes tombstones and graves, for the simple reason that he cannot die. Feeling superior to those in graves, he enjoys talking to graves and insulting the people in them.
- Sarrum enjoys having conversations, even when fighting. The more interesting a person is, the more Sarrum likes them, and the more likely he is to want to continue their conversation.
- Sarrum enjoys the night-time, and is also a fan of sunrises and sunsets.
- Art is one thing that Sarrum has always been able to appreciate, from sculptures to paintings to music. That being said, he prefers so-called "classical" music to anything else. His favourite artist is Bach, but that being said, he has found another favourite in E Nomine, a much more current German band.
- The internet fascinates Sarrum; he has made it part of his daily routine to read the current news and also hunt around Wikipedia in order to get his knowledge more current.
- Sarrum dislikes cats, scorpions, and owls for the same reason; they eat bats. That anything should harm them makes him very mad.
- Sarrum dislikes smoking and recreational drug taking of any sort. Why would people waste their lives away like that, especially when they only had such a short time to stay?
- Sarrum dislikes overly bright things, such as glaring sunlight.
- Dubstep, dnb remixes, and almost all variants of heavy metal irritate Sarrum, as do highpitched noises.
- Boring people bore Sarrum, and there's nothing he dislikes more than being bored. Rude people are generally put in the boring people category, as are disgusting people.
- Sarrum dislikes camels, not because they eat bats, but because they spit. He considers them amongst the rudest of animals.
- Shinigami are constantly among the beings that could possibly kill Sarrum; at the very least, he hasn't put the idea aside that if anybody would be able to kill him, it would be a Shinigami. Its not so much that he fears death, as the fact that he believes his dying is completely against the nature of the universe.
- Sarrum is fearful of being sealed again, and that is in fact a reason that he fears Shinigami. However, powerful witches or sorcerers could also seal him away again, so this fear is listed separately.
- Sarrum fears being alone. Not just generally lone, but being absolutely alone; nobody else in the Universe except him.
- The idea of losing his mind, his self, his identity, scares Sarrum. As an immortal, that's all he'll be able to count on throughout the millennia.
- Sarrum wants very much to eventually get back with his old lover, so not doing so is something that he knows he dreads.
- An idea born because of Sarrum's new madness, he wants to one day drop the world into a period of savage darkness, where his word is law, where hope is cultivated specifically to be crushed, and the stench of dead bodies is everywhere.
- Sarrum wants to hurt the current Shinigami as best he can, as punishment for one of his predecessors sealing Sarrum away so many years ago.
- Sarrum wants to understand how the Universe works and why it is the way it is, as well as whether there are alternate Universes he can escape to when this one is coming to an end.
- After finding out about demon weapons, Sarrum has been wanting to find a good weapon that would join by his side. Instead of simply overpowering the weapon's soul wavelength, Sarrum wants a partner who would happily resonate with him.
- Sarrum wants to get back together with his old lover. He feels that two immortals such as themselves should spend their immortal lives together; plus, he thinks she's beautiful, inside and out.
- As part of the Immortal Clan, Sarrum is immortal. His body heals from all wounds, and he is almost tireless. Recovering from being tired as well as wounds, when exhausted Sarrum generally only needs an hour of sleep. Furthermore, his body is always in a state of physical perfection.
- Sarrum's senses are more powerful than any human's, so he can see quite well at night, has no trouble hearing even whispers, and can track targets through smell alone.
- Sarrum's soul can absorb souls and their properties, and because of this his soul is currently unique in the world, having lived many normal human life-times. Because of what's done in his life-time, absorbing so many different wavelengths, his soul is also very powerful, and he knows how to use it well.
- In order to further his ambition to understand how the Universe works, Sarrum has become a very powerful magic user.
- Intelligent and an avid consumer of knowledge, Sarrum has many treasure troves of knowledge in his head. He knows quite well how magic, soul wavelengths and the human body works and is manipulated, and can analyze attacks with general ease, taking delight in doing so.
- Though his strong senses are definitely a strength, they are also definitely a weakness: strong changes in light blind Sarrum, and very bright lights hurt his eyes; sudden bad odors are very distracting, even painful, and make Sarrum need to sneeze; very loud noises hurt his ears, and high pitched sounds do the same. Overpowering sensory inputs can cause Sarrum to black out.
- Sarrum's tendencies to prolong fights in order to string out enjoyment from them is a bad tendency. He knows this as this was the reason he was sealed away so many years ago, but he finds it incredibly hard to break with this learned behaviour.
- In his experiments with wavelengths and magic, Sarrum sometimes gives others abilities that they wouldn't normally have or increases the abilities that they do have. So far he's kept it within limits that he can safely deal with, but giving enemies power is still something stupid to do.
- Being so sure of his powers, Sarrum plays freely with others and often puts himself in danger's way. Containing his true powers in the interests of fun isn't the wisest thing to do in a world where a little girl defeated a Kishin.
- Like others Sarrum isn't immune to insanity, and indeed the insanity that has infected Sarrum is one of fear. When truly fearful, Sarrum's powers go out of whack.
- Sarrum respects the riddle game, and as such if engaged in a riddle game and losing, he will generally abide by any terms previously agreed on; that being said, he's no fool, and won't let himself be killed by such a gamble.
- Sarrum doesn't want others to know that he is afraid of Shinigami, so he keeps it a close secret.
- Even Sarrum has felt the emotion of love; he courted another member of his clan, the one who is the inspiration for the Phoenix of lore.
- Throughout the years Sarrum has found that hurting others brings him a great deal of pleasure. Sadistic through and through, he enjoys playing games with others' emotions and minds. Sarrum doesn't mind hurting people physically instead of emotionally or mentally; it's all the same to him.
- The trait that started it all, Sarrum is very intelligent and curious. It was his curiosity that made him first play the game of torture, and it was curiosity that made him so knowledgeable and powerful. Sarrum wants to know it all, and actually feels a little uncomfortable when realizing he doesn't know something important that he should have learned before.
- What's life without fun, Sarrum asks. Playing games, telling jokes, having a good laugh, it's all very important when you live forever. Despite being sadistic, Sarrum does enjoy even non-sadistic games and jokes; he's been known to even play a game of peekaboo with babies. Mischievous, Sarrum will play a childish prank and then burst into laughter afterwards.
- Sarrum does do things for no reason other to have fun, but he does take careful note of what he's doing and what's going on around him. Part of his curiosity and need to know, Sarrum analyzes everything people say and every artifact that comes his way. This is helpful considering his sadistic wantings, as well as a useful thing in the midst of his games. Sarrum gains a feeling of satisfaction from figuring out how someone thinks or how they're playing,

FACE CLAIM:
[/ul]FACE & HAIR:
- Sealed Soul: The sealed soul of Sarrum is the form that his soul generally travels in, since he seals his soul to remain inconspicuous and so that when he does battle he can have fun with it. In this form his soul is about the same size as a normal person's soul. It features little bat wings near the top, and it is completely black except for a red eye on the front. When his soul is sealed like this, Sarrum's power is around the same as a powerful witch's, but he can not do any magic in this form. As such, Sarrum can not be identified as a witch when his soul is sealed. An archaic form of the current day witches' "soul protection," taking this seal off requires about twenty seconds.
- Unsealed Soul: The unsealed soul of Sarrum is the form that he shows people who exhibit a power he would like to have or that are powerful enough to force him to take his seal off completely. When his seal is off, Sarrum's soul is the size of a city block. The surface of this soul has no fixed attributes, instead being a seething pure black mass. Within his soul is also pure black, so those within his soul wavelength can not see anything. When his soul is completely unsealed, Sarrum's power is enough to take on multiple witches and/or weapon and meister pairings at the same time.
- Full Power Soul: Fully drawing on his soul's powers and using magic and wavelength manipulation to draw it out even more, Sarrum's fully powered soul is about the same size as Shinigami's. The surface of his soul in this state is as much of a seething mess as his unsealed soul, and is just as black and dark. When his soul is at full power, Sarrum's power is around Shinigami's. The spells necessary to obtain this level of power are cast by a two part ritual; the first part takes about an hour and sets the spells. The second ritual activates the spells, and takes a little over twenty minutes. The fully powered soul can last at most a day, varying depending on the power from Sarrum's soulwavelength and his physical constitution.
- Resonating Soul: //Since Sarrum hasn't found a compatible weapon yet, he hasn't ever seen his soul resonate before at his currently levels of power\\

OVERALL HISTORY:
- Sarrum was born to a member of the immortal clan and a witch lover. Raised as an immortal, he knew his status as one made him special and unique. An intelligent individual, Sarrum also understood the need he would have to find a way to stay sane throughout the millennia. Sarrum learned magic at the hands of his mother, and it was during his experiments with magic that he learned his goal; to learn about the Universe and the way it worked.
- Being an immortal made Sarrum an important person in the supernatural world, and he became friends with many different people, learning the politics of the world and being treated similarly to how high class nobles would later in the ways of the world be treated. It was through his acquaintances that Sarrum was first introduced to the game of torture. Being further introduced into the world of erotic torture, Sarrum declined to go any further, insisting that, for his first experience of any erotic sort, it should be a romantic one with someone he loved.
- The reason that he insisted on this was because he knew such an experience would make for a more healthy existence later, and because he was already falling for someone. His younger cousin, a lady of flame and also an immortal, was the most beautiful person that Sarrum had ever met, to his eyes. Sarrum courted her, lavishing her with gifts and making it a point to talk to her at every social meeting they had both attended. Stealing a kiss once or twice, Sarrum was burned by the source of his admiration, but he did not despair; he was playing a long game, and knew that though he was spurned by her, she too was playing a game. Eventually they came together, and shared a few years courting each other. He introduced her to the world of magic and witchcraft, and she eagerly stayed by his side as he taught her what he knew. As the decades flew by, she became a powerful witch, and he a proud teacher. They consummated their love, but made sure not to marry each other and to keep their relationship a secret.
- All was well for Sarrum, until it came to his attention that his mother, long in years, was going to die. A witch, she was not immortal, and the past century had been her last. Sarrum was desperate not to lose his mother. Sharing correspondence with the Shinigami at the time, and deeper into magical lore than Sarrum ever expected anyone else to be, even his magnificent lover, Sarrum devised a plan. Going up to his mother, he devoured her soul while she was still living, keeping her power for his own. The act empowered Sarrum, and did not kill his mother. She was kept alive by the powerful energy of Sarrum's soul that was affecting hers; there was still a link between her soul and her body, created by powerful spells that Sarrum had put forth. His mother and father were quite proud of Sarrum, and thankful, but his lover was doubtful. A fake immortal?
- Sarrum's relationship was officially over when he tried to introduce her to torture. Not erotic torture, no, Sarrum tried to get her to torture unimmortal creatures, to cause them pain. She could not believe that underneath the patient, attentive, mischievous, intelligent and loving exterior Sarrum had that he was so cruel. Sarrum tried to explain that he was still all that he had been before, that it was not in any way an act, but she did not believe him, and fled. Sarrum became embittered by this. He did not dare go to Egypt, where she was staying at her palace in the desert. He hoped, in time, she would come to love him again. None the less he was plagued by doubt. Coming to the end of his metaphorical rope, Sarrum found a way to entertain himself until his love was returned again.
- Sarrum killed the leader of the Sumer nation and took control of it through virtue of his power. Dominating it wholly under his magical fist, Sarrum expanded his nation into an empire, ruling all the way from the lush lands of Canaan to the Black Sea to the mountains of Tibet. Sarrum was particularly harsh during his reign, and freely killed and tortured people. His father spoke against it, but Sarrum ignored him. His mother spoke against it, but Sarrum ignored her. The Shinigami spoke against it, but Sarrum ignored him. No word came from Egypt, so the immortal King did as he wished. Then Shinigami and his parents could take no more, as Sarrum prepared to take over the Sub-Asian continent of India. Sarrum broke his bindings with his mother, killing her but keeping his power for himself.
- Sarrum kept up correspondence with his father as the immortal and the god of death bore down on his armies to break the enchantments on them. The son pointed out to his father that under his reign, Sumer had actually become much more powerful and organized; aside from those directly involved in the war efforts or in court, the Sumerians prospered. Furthermore, the son argued, as an immortal, was it not his right to dictate the life of the mortals? They could not see as far into the future as immortals could, and the immortals would be able to maintain powerful and heady rule much more easily than the mortals could, with their short-life spans. The father said that while his arguments were good, the mortals did not need any sort of immortal master who was as cruel and domineering as he was.
- Sarrum challenged his father to a duel; if his father bested him, Sarrum would do as he wished, obeying his father as a son should. If Sarrum won however, he would free of his father's efforts to stop him. His father, confident and angry at his son, agreed to the duel. With his powerful magics however, Sarrum was able to defeat his father. Deciding that because his father was alive, he could not properly end the duel, Sarrum ate his father's soul while his father was still alive, absorbing it and all of its power. The act killed his father, and Sarrum spent no time in mourning.
- Understanding his ability to absorb souls from a person while they were still living to be unique and a way to gain infinite power, Sarrum drained the souls of everyone in his palace and set off to face Shinigami. The battle was brutal but short; Shinigami was more powerful than Sarrum and cast him down. Fearing for his life, Sarrum fled the encounter, using his magics to hide himself and his soul from the sight of the god of death.
- Sarrum was unsure of what to do next. He could not show his face to the object of his affections in defeat, nor could he show his face to anyone else. Deciding to go for broke, Sarrum quickly traveled the world, absorbing the souls of a few powerful men and witches, preparing certain magical spells and crafting for himself a sword. Thus prepared, Sarrum surprised Shinigami again at a social meeting that those of the supernatural world where having. Proud to reveal himself to be as powerful as the Shinigami was in front of those whose attentions he sought, Sarrum challenged the god of death to another battle. Shinigami drew his scythe, Sarrum his sword, and all others fleeing the place, the two thrust themselves at each other. The battle was fierce, and indeed Sarrum was as powerful as Shinigami. At times during their conflict, one overpowered the other, but never for long. However, Sarrum healed from his wounds and Shinigami did not. Seeing victory at hand, Sarrum pressed his advesary harshly. Neither of them noticed the witches on the ground below where they fought in mid air, preparing a powerful spell. Spinning around in mid-air from one of the immortal's attacks, Shinigami did notice; he then purposefully allowed Sarrum to wound him, so that he could attack with impunity and blast the immortal into the spell. Sarrum noticed only that he was attacked by Shinigami, and then the world was dark.
- Sarrum had been sealed. He could not move, and he could not sense the world. His power raged at the seal, but Sarrum did not understand it. Had Shinigami dealt him a wound that even he could not recover from? Sarrum was confused further by the fact that, he did not seem to die. What was then indeed happening? Soon he realized what had happened, and for a century stayed like that before entering a type of sleep that was the only form of death one from the immortal clan was ever supposed to enter.
- As time passed, the seal wore away and Sarrum was exposed to the desert that had replaced lush, vibrant Sumer. Still, he slept on, dead to the world. Unless woken by something or someone, he would remain like that forever. Eventually something did wake him; the insanity wavelength of the Kishin washed over Sarrum, propelling him out of his slumber. Realizing what had happened, and that he was free and awake, Sarrum hid himself once more and traveled the world, learning and preparing himself. Indeed he was happy to discover that his forlorn love was still alive and active. Indeed he was sad to discover that the latest Shinigami had made a school, training powerful students how to fight threats like himself. Contemplating, Sarrum decided he would endeavour to hurt Shinigami by hurting these students, and once finding a compatible, "demon weapon," fighting the god of death to the bitter end.

ABILITIES:
- Ever Healing Body Not so much of an ability or skill as an asset, Sarrum's body heals immediately when wounded. This allows him to make full use of his body without having to worry about muscles tearing or bones snapping, so even without using magic or his soul-wavelength to empower himself, Sarrum is much faster and stronger than a human of his height and body-to-muscle ratio.
- Absorbing Soul As far as he knows a unique ability, Sarrum can consume the souls of creatures while they are still living. He can only do this when his soul is unsealed, but none the less it has given him a powerful and complex soul. Sarrum can only absorb souls that are weaker or smaller than his.
- Powerful And Complex Soul Sarrum's soul is huge, to put it succinctly. Its complexity can be seen in the writhing surface of its unsealed form. The soul has absorbed multiple wavelengths in the past, and Sarrum as such can use those wavelengths as he wishes. There is a comforting and calming wavelength that he absorbed, as well as an anti-demon wavelength. Sarrum has eaten two elemental souls, one of fire and one of wind, as well as a grigori soul. Having absorbed the souls of four witches, Sarrum is magically powerful.
- Soul Manipulation Throughout his years as a fighter and experimenter, Sarrum learned to manipulate his soul wavelength expertly. He can run it through the ground, the air, water, in order to achieve the desired affects, and knows all about the so called Soul "Menace" ability. Sarrum knows how to use his soul wavelength to defend himself from attacks, physical or magical, and how to increase his physical abilities as well as his magical ones. Furthermore, Sarrum can control the different wavelengths that his soul gives off, and their affects. It is through his ability to manipulate his wavelength that he is always aware of things within his soul, giving him and edge when unsealing his soul completely as others can not see within it.
- Magical Mastery A scholar, student, teacher, experimenter, and user in the field of magic, for many years more than any human or even witch, Sarrum is a very powerful magic user and knows almost all there is to know about how to manipulate the world through magic. For many magic users, there are animal themes that they follow, but Sarrum went past that many centuries ago. Aside from using magic with no real theme, Sarrum uses magic with bat themes, snake themes, wolf themes, bird themes, and skeleton themes. Deep enough in magical lore and powerful enough to use magic without chants or incantations, Sarrum only uses them when he wants to be extra flashy or against very strong opponents.
- Armed And Dangerous Sarrum wields a sword, an image of which can be seen by clicking this sentence. The sword serves him as not only a weapon that can handle his wavelength, but also as a wand when doing magic in battle and in rituals, and a channel for the powers of his Devil Eyes.
- Devil Eyes Originally, the devil eyes belonged to a sorcerer who was consorting with dark forces and experimenting with souls, tainted and pure, and the human body. Sarrum sponsored the human's studies, interested in what the man might discover. The man was a prodigious one, and wrote his sponsor many missives explaining what he discovered. Deciding that he had learned enough from the man, and a bit concerned about what he found, Sarrum killed him and burnt his research. Having memorized what he had been told, Sarrum went and performed a magical ritual with a pure soul and three tainted ones, and acquired the powers of the devil eyes, a name they would be given later by someone whom had a bit of a rivalry with Sarrum. When using the powers of the devil eyes, skulls form in his eyes over his pupils, and they stay there until released. When released, the skulls fly out in a straight line at their target, fast enough that mere eyesight can not track them. The skulls either fly into someone's eyes, taking root in someone's pupils, or form a larger skull over the target's face. When in someone's pupils, Sarrum gains the ability to peer into their mind, reading the target's surface thoughts, as well as the ability to influence the target's thoughts and emotions. When the skull takes form over the head of the target, it restricts the target's movement and, should Sarrum use the devil eyes on them twice in the same manner, crushes the target's head. The devil eyes can only be used on people that are looking at Sarrum as Sarrum looks at them, and can only be used on people who are much weaker than he is. The skulls in the pupils of the target can be taken out by experienced magic users or by Shinigami, while the skulls on the heads of the target can be broken.
- Soul Perception Sarrum's ability to sense souls is superb, allowing him to see souls and determine much about them. However, since Sarrum was sealed long before witches started using soul protection, he can not peer past there abilities to do so.
- Multilingual Throughout the centuries, Sarrum learned many different languages. Of course, all of them are pointless now, as few people even remember them aside from snotty old college professors. However, Sarrum also learned the languages of many animals, and can converse with the animals of today without much effort. Using magic, Sarrum has learned English and Arabic, harvesting the knowledge from the minds of two men he ran into.
